In downtown Cancun you will find hotels for all budgets- many small local restaurants offering regional and speciality cuisines like the "yucateca" and some really cool bars and live music and mariachis. There is a wide choice of shopping from the Mercado 28 (which is a traditional market) – a handicrafts market – to the super modern shopping mall like Plaza Las Americas.
